The theme of the exhibit was "Home" -- to be included in the show your quilt had to have some relation to the subject.   I sulked about this for days.  No one was going to tell me what to quilt!  I didn't want to picture a house, nest or even a cave.  I was busy exploring the illusion of transparency.  In a state of high rebellion I took the four letters of the word HOME  and overlapped them to form an abstract design.  Everyone was pleased with the result, even me.
